Hello All, My wife and I just purchased a farm in northeastern Tasmania that's already well positioned for organic production. Our first "new" project is to start with a proof of concept (for us) of an aquaponics system for tomato plants for winter production inside our barn. We're wanting to start small with a couple of used IBC totes we want to make into a 1,000L fish tank for rainbow trout and two garden beds. Finding the used totes - preferably food grade - in Tassie isn't proving so easy. Can anyone direct us to a source? Having to source them from the Mainland is a pain as the shipping to Tasmania really increases the cost due to the size taken up on the ferry. We're so pleased to find this Forum and hope to contribute to the community as we gain experience with aquaponics. Cheers, Birchwood |

Hi Birchwood, try the aquaponics forum (this is the farming forum) by clicking the link at the top right of the screen. Try gumtree and local industrial supply buisnesses. |
