| Post subject: | Hi Guys |
Hey guys, Rob from Bunbury. Im guessing I need to post here before I can post on other peoples topic? I have an aquaponics setup which consists of a 1000L tank with trout and perch, a 500L BYAP growbed and have just finished making a close to 1000L floating raft system. I only have a small backyard so am looking at ways to grow the most in a small space. Looking at growing tomatoes and chillies in 25L wicking buckets. I am currently setting up some half blue barrels as wicking pots also. Cheers Rob |

Is that similar to a Dutch oven system? |

Haha I am quite farmiliar with the Dutch Oven Is the Dutch bucket one inside another with a pot linking the 2 to wick water from the bottom one? I have just made one of these getting ready for tomatoes and chillies. |

I've had success with smaller tomato plants and chillies but larger tomato plants in wicking buckets seem to dry out in the heat of summer. I changed to wicking crates and barrels for more dirt. |
