the food safety act has some merits, but it really is aplyed to large commercial operations only. the trickle down affect will eventually affect all growers who sell to the public, if it makes food safer then all the better.
some of the "resellers" at our local farmers market are filthy, and have poor storage, its bad enough i have to compete with some one that only resells cheap commercial raised produce....but you get to eat food that was kept in their living space with their cats and shit.
don't trust the sellers at a farmers market, know who grows your food, only buy from actual farmers...or its a crap shoot.
