just as the title asks? you aussies have such cool sounding food....tucker...who could resist. we run a thread on another board just like this one. here's a sample or two. you figure out who the aussie is and who's the yank. Did a seafood platter for tea last night. Green prawns tossed in garlic, olive oil and butter. Added some flour and some cream. Broke some boiled mud crabs we'd caught that morning, a kilo of Moreton Bay bugs and some spanner crabs... or.... Just ingested a McRib. I am now waiting for death. NotGood see we all eat.....so whats for supper? |

venison tenderloins run thru the tenderizer till fall apart soft(3 times) marinaded in charcoal roasted garlic, smoked hot peppers, olive oil, worstishire, terriki sauce, and cooking sherri. then seared on the grill. sweet potatoes with home made wild comb in,whipped honey butter. and a sliced white dry irish cheese, and peach tea. i'm so full it's gonna be hard to drink a 12 pack of beer, but its saturday nite an i'll have to try |

I'd say the first one was the Aussie, dunno if you get McRibs here.... Last night I roasted up some small potatoes, pumpkin and little onions with lots of fresh herbs and olive oil. Had that with Duck breast marinated in plum sauce and five spice.... Unusual mix, but tasty.... Also had a couple of Jacks while cooking ... |

Food&Fish wrote: Shit i had a $9.00 pizza Don't you have a pizza oven. I can turn on the gas and grab a couple of handfulls of flour and have a pizza cut up and in the box(I have the real pizza boxes) in 20min. But tonight I'm trying out the scanpan tajine. Curry chicken, garlic(ap), onions, potato, pumpkin, carrots and tomatoes. |

Lamb rib chops, taters, peas, corn, carrot, onions and tomatos. Simmered down the onions and tomatoes with water in a casserole dish, quick fried the chops (two lots of 3 ribs still joined) until the fat was crispy then threw the whole lot into the casserole dish with pepper and garlic, put in oven for 50mins then with the lid off for 30mins. |
