They are just starting to mine in our area. Told every one that there would be no fracture gas mining. But they are setting off lots of explosions of a day and one every night.

Bauxite mining is more of a concern in your neck of the woods curnow, but this fracking business in some scary scat, I just signed up.

Yeah Simo,
Bauxite does have issues but not as much as coal seam gas. That really is scary what they do to the aquifers. :scared2:

Since they started mining here. A lot of farms are now stuffed and have to sell up. Its always a fight to get enough water and there are allocations etc. But the miners can pump all the water they like out of the ground and have dropped the water table below all the farms bores.

if you look on a map the "marcellus shale formation" is no where near south carolina...and thank god for that so i am safe........they are gonna get to the energy under your feet weather you like it or not. energy takes first seat here in the states, and if you are in the way either, you take your lumps or move :bad:
