A couple of things on my wish list include a ride on mower I am also interested in a trailer to go behind it If anyone in WA knows of one for sale I would be interested in hearing about it please. We plan to make a purchase in the next couple of months. Also interested in leaf springs and farm junk. Eddy is getting bored and wants to create more beautiful sculptures for the garden. |

This mob are advertising in the quokka for ride-ons new at $2700 with a free trailer. http://www.smallmotors.com.au/ There are heaps in the quokka from $500 upwards.. www.quokka.com.au |

Faye If I were you I wouldnt buy an MTD ride on mower. I bought one new about 4 years ago and it started falling apart after about a week. I got rid of it after a few years because I was sick of fixing it. Their spec's sound good but the quality is bad. |

Once you get the ride on, just whack a trailer together yourself or if you don't weld, get whoever puts the BYAP grow-bed stands together to do it for you. Cheap as - just use the wheels you get from supercheap and provided you don't want to carry too much weight, you will get away with the pneumatic ones they have on the trollys which are always on special for 20 odd buck. Cheaper to buy the whole trolley and just use the wheels than it is to buy the wheels separately

Thanks for the tip oldute, but what does MTD stand for? Yeah VB, Eddy said he would would make one. but his list of to dos is getting longer by the day. Second hand is always good Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. |

Or do what I did. Gave the ride on to the ex and bought a 20ltr of round up.

Jeez Duff - you sure like your roundup. I'm embarrased that I have a 1 litre bottle that is getting close to the end after 5 years. |

not sure what MTD stands for but its the brand name, ie MTD yard machine or MTD Pony etc. |

Was only asking the guy down the road for a price on dynamic lifter in a 1 ton bag. Idea is to put it into the shed with a forklift and not have to buy it again for a while. |

Faye I can give you a good price on a ride on delivered to Guilford branch, but be careful what you buy is some cheapies around that have a god engine IE Kohler or Briggs but are nasty elsewhere, mainly Made in China models, best to look at John Deere (  ), Cox, husqvarna, the problem with the cheapies is parts availability. the last company I worked with sold a chinese mower with catcher for about $2900 but couldn't get blades for them, blades lasted 15 hours (JD around 50 Hours) also filters were at least 3 months, boss didn't want to stock them and nothing crossed over to them so even doing a service was a wait, one broke a spindal that rotates blades after 10 hours and was under warranty but six months waiting for part, as with all things you get what you pay for, but if you buy right then they will last, You hardly see a second hand John Deere, people I know have had them for 15+ years, no doubt other major brands can boast similar, but I have to be biased, MTD is just a brand name, others to watch are Daedong (remember the Daewoo) Kioti (same maker)As for farm junk get Eddy to email me I will pm address and tell me what he wants, every farmer has junk down here, will PM my email |
