Spinach fettuccine it was. My better half also suggested that pesto could be used however I'm not sure how a high oil content pasta dough would work. May be simpler to keep it as a sauce ingredient.

Watching the AFL and raided the fridge for a light lunch found different cheeses and home made brawn, pickled onions and pickled ginger. The ginger is what I grew here and it was excellent went well on jatz biscuits with home made green mango pickles.

So most of it was home made products just the sort of products we like. Cheers

Yesterday we made a couple of jars of sauerkraut just have to let them ferment for a few days before testing. Will report back with a photo once tested.

So far this year we have made sweet mustard pickles. Green mango pickles. Pickled onions and pickled green mango. Pickled ginger, kumquat marmalade and fresh pasta. Need another beetroot crop so I can do more pickled beetroot. And also chilli sauce. Cheers

They opened a new IGA in the local town and bananas were a $1 kilo. Have a few which are well ripen so thought I would try my hand at banana cake.

Looks nice Bear, good to see you occupying your time why the good wife is away. Say hi to her from Nicole, Lucus and myself.

The young bloke always asks when the Bear is coming back haha

The stamp of approval has been given my the good wife and I am resisting the temptation of having some for breakfast. Can see at lest one more being made this week end.

Been awhile since we have done any preserving but have managed to put down some beetroot, sweet chilie and some beef sausages last week.

For Christmas we bought ourselves a 10 litre crock pot and was waiting on cabbage season. Today I bought four large cabbages @ $4 each so we spend the afternoon doing sauerkraut. Took two and a half of the cabbages which was 10 kilo grated. Used a electric grated we bought from Aldi. Bit of hard work for the machine but we made it.
