This is the place to post what vegies you are currently planting or preparing for. That way it may remind others(myself) about what plants should be going in. I'm currently preparing a garden bed for garlic. And have planted seedling trays with the following plants. Cabbage Romanesco broccoli Cucumber Leeks(just to see how they go) Beetroot Purple asparagus Purple peas Then I ran out of seedling trays. |

I've just put a punnet of peas and a punnet of french beans in the ground. In my aquaponics I've just planted some tomatoes, bok choi, cos lettuce and sweet basil. I really should look at selling up soon and buying a place with more land. |

I planted some broccoli in the aquaponics about 2 weeks ago. Wasn't sure how well it would go as the AP is in our hot house, but it is going very well so far. In the AP also have chinese cabbage, silverbeet, tomatoes and capsicum doing extremely well; strawberries & lettuce doing OK. The lettuce goes a bit spindly & bolts to seed a bit too quick due to the humidity, so hopefully will do better over Winter. I will soon plant out other varieties of cabbage and want to try some baby carrots. As for the dirt veggie garden......well that has been a bit neglected since the AP went in, but we do have some carrots & pumpkins growing well. |

Garlic, lots and lots of garlic. Ordered some more of the elephant as well as 2 other types that looked pretty. |

Just cause they're pretty, does that mean that you can't eat them. Does anyone know are they poisonous or just not very nice or what?Or just not the best of peas. |

actually after I posted the comment above, I wondered what they actually taste like. I doubt that they would be poisonous, but will have to investigate further |
