All year round vegetables?

Hi there from a scorching Santiago.

Another question for the green fingered mob!

In winter I still get a huge amount of sun and the temperature doesn't go below freezing. What veggies are good to grow all year round?

Is it a case of 'if there is 6 hours of good sunlight' it will grow or are some just not cut out for the colder weather?

The following is a list of veggies I currently have - see anything that wont do well?

I will be making a 'plastic sheeting' green house for the plot.

Hard one to answer, really depends on how cold you get in winter, your temps sound similar to what we have here perhaps in Perth.. The thing is that micro climates can also play a huge part, tommatoes wont fruit for me in winter, but perhaps yours will being in a hot little yard that collects heat.

This might help(it doesnt do Sth America) set it for temperate and see what you can plant.

I can grow most things all year but I am subtropical,except tomatoes don't like the high humidity of Summer but mine are still fruiting and broccoli needs to be timed to head at the coolest time.Mediterranean herbs suffer from dry winters and wet summers but still grow.

You know your climate and your micro climates talk to neighbours have a go see what happens.
