Burnsy-sorry to hear about your damage...one step forwards and two steps back with properties isn't it!!! We also are still waiting for a glazier.... :sad2: ...

Haznoshadow- no, we haven't had problems as yet but will look out for it just in case. We always had them in cages raised off the ground, and have only recently (over the last year) put them in pens. The rabbits are much, much happier as they have more room and can dig around. Time will tell if there are health issues with it, will do some research to check too.
We do clean out the pens every week...plus they each have a 'toilet' which most of them use rather than doing it everywhere.....and yes it all goes in the veggie gardens!! I put mine in the fallow garden and the chooks scratch it around and eat the seed...then when I am ready to plant it is nice and rich and seed free!!
Will take some more photos of the babes today....must be 6 weeks now.

Quokka does the same thing, but I thought she was just saying get me some more food please. She hasn't stopped eating for the last 3 days.
Ooh Aaah, six weeks, I thought it was only going to be 4 weeks. Have I left you a cage short? Sorry. :ohdear:

Time flies!!
We are planning on weaning next weekend...but we have two spare pens thanks Faye...no rush for the cage it is a spare. When you get Quokka's permanent one up and running is fine.
Food....yes....now the babes are nearly weaned they are eating all in sight!!

What a great weekend for gardening!! Pruning, weeding, planting, collecting wood....but still there was time to sit and have a drink and watch Finn (the dog) and Donny Brook (aka two-twenty) 'play' together....

I'd hate to think how long it takes you to do the feeding and watering rounds, it's taking a long time here now a days, fish, chicks, rabbits, etc... You have SO much more...

The wheat has grown, and should be a good source of food for the sheep, especially once those lambs come!

Unfortunately the ducks found their way into the pea patch....it now looks very tatty, though I did pick lots of peas :sad2:

The chooks got into one raised veggie bed and mangled the beetroot, comfrey and rhubarb...and anything else that was in there that I've forgotten :anger:

Hmmmm, bit of a tidy up was needed this weekend!

Free range chooks certainly have their down side, but I bet that laid well the next day  The wheat is looking really good. Are you allowed to have a pig there?
