OK, I've finally gotten around to getting some general photos of the back yard so here we go. I'll start of with the obligatory disclaimers on how cruddy it looks in places. My excuses are; - we're in the latter part of possibly the world's longest running renovation/extension all thanks to the world's slowest builder, and - Perth's 75+ days without rain (otherwise the place would be covered in weeds We put in a citrus dominated orchard 2½ years ago which is coming along nicely now. 10 citrus varieties + banana, fig, gooseberry, passionfruit, pomegranate, sugarcane (2 weeks ago) and a variety of herbs along with a parsley forest ! The block is on the front (west) of the Darling Range overlooking Perth so, while the view is great, we get baked by the afternoon soon until it sets, which can be hard on the plants as it really extends a hot day.

So if someone takes three steps back from the end of the pool do they fall down a 10m cliff? |

Thanks Simo - lot's of things make me want a beer too There's no chillies this year dufflight wrote: Nice place for driving practice. Little white golf balls sailing into the distance. Yeah Duff, if you were good enough to hit it over the next 5 properties, you'd be right as it's nature reserve for a while then ! Unfortunately (or fortunately), it ain't my thing. pistolknight wrote: Shit Nige was going to clean my place up before you came, no need to by the looks But things seem to be going along fine, except your builder I suppose, still pissed about your view Paul - in that case you owe me a beer Maybe you'll get to check the view out at my AP System Up And Running that I'm hoping to hold sometime this year earthbound wrote: So if someone takes three steps back from the end of the pool do they fall down a 10m cliff? From the pool they'll be alright, kinda, as it's a 4ft drop onto thick blend of couch and lippia and then you'll roll down into the grevilleas. If you fall off the balcony, and live, you probably won't walk again, though no doubt you'll be able to test the usefulness of my public liability clause in the house insurance. No parties until we have a balustrade or something there to stop piss-heads having gravity attacks dufflight wrote: Or onto the roof of the next house. - Nup - we own the 8 metres in front of that view as well so you'll definitely land on our property.

Used to knock a ball a far distance. Par 4 I could get next to the green it if went straight. If it went to the left I had to get a new ball. The John Deere place accross the road still has the golf balls imbeded into there walls and roof from when I was practicing out the front as a kid. 2 angry guys coming around the corner gave me the idea that not all of the balls were going over the shed. |

Ahhh, the joys of being a kid - squashing bullets with rocks, mixing brake fluid and pool chlorine in tennis balls, and running away from grown ups you've pissed off ...... |
