At last!! After 6 years of searching for the ultimate piece of property, 8 acres has finally been purchased. Initially it was going to be no less than 30 acres to be away from rat race but about 6weeks ago I found this property that is just perfect. Solar, wind turbine powered shed included.
River running through it and I see plenty of Marron hidings. Roll on Jan,Feb!!

Nice looking water. Rivers around here look like the color of puddles after you drive a dozen cars through it. :sad2:

Gotta love that Bauxite Mining!! I loved the land and was so disappointed when I spotted it. I decided that at least I know what I have near me instead of buying land and finding out a few years down the track that a mine is starting up. All the lovely areas are smack bang in the middle of leases. :sad2:

Doesnt it get to like -10 degrees there

Nice place SM, I've always wanted a place with a river running trough it.

Dont worry about the bauxite mining, I wonder what the views going to be like once they remove that hill! Ha Ha

Are the sheep yours?

Hey BD,
It gets pretty cold at night and 15.9 was the lowest Max last year in July. Brrrr!! Some of the hill is going through revegetation at the moment. Luckily they only rip a few metres off then replace topsoil and then plant seedlings to put it back to nearly original state. It is terrible to see but we need the aluminium to put our beer in,dont we  .Cant have you riding around on your mower with plastic beer bottles :yuck: and glass is too dangerous!
Anyway,if that hill disappeared, my next view would be the Boddington Gold Mine cos its north of that hill
As for the sheep, not mine but will let them stay on there until I become a fulltime farm person. My mates say Dorpers are the way to go.

Gnash, settlement is on 5th Nov :joy: I thought I would just get the owners of sheep to maintain the firebreaks (until I get my own equipment).Havnt talked to them yet but no doubt will be in touch after 5th. They might tell me to stick the firebreaks and take their sheep off :sad2:

Are you going to spray the fire breaks or rip them up (when you get equipment) ?
