Post subject:  Gaz and Danae's Garden
G'day mob! Guess the best place to start would be back at the beginning... (for me anyway)

I was raised on a farm in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, near a town of around 500 people called Broomehill. It was 3500 acres with some good bushy sections, crops of barley, oats, wheat and canola, 7000 sheep and 2000 free range pigs, along with my oldies and my little brother and sister. There was also 14 dams full of yabbies and one with marron.
Around the house was an orchard with various fruit trees and a decent sized vegi patch.

Needless to say, using land for food production is something close to my home and heart, and whilst circumstances required the farm to be sold back in 2000, and our family becoming (for a time) city dwellers, I still love to be out playing in the dirt, growing things to eat or even just to look at.

About 4 years back, myself and partner Danae sold our souls to the bank and bought a house in South Lake (Perth) It is a funny wedge-shaped block, with not much street frontage but a good sized backyard. It had a nice big lemon and mango tree and very little else, so we started gardening...
