Post subject:  The Rock Farm ~ Jaymie and Alex's place

Woohoo! The first post in the first thread in this section!!! (small things  )

We live outside of Townsville in a rural residential area. I have been here for 17 years, and Alex joined me here 10 years ago. The site is mostly hillside, with a bit of clay well spread out between the rocks :bash:

One of the problems with the rocks on this rock farm, is that they are too small to be useful for any building jobs we think of. So, being the oddball that I am, over the years I have brought in 4 truckloads of "seedstock"

Here is the latest load

We are constructing a flat area to construct an outdoor kitchen space. The flat ground is nearly there!
The bbq will be expanded and a pizza oven built as well.

More photos to follow

Looooove that trolley, what a ripper. Don't tell me, an old barrel trolley?

Tell Alex he needs to wait for it to snow before that sled will work properly... Damn that looks like hard work.

Yep, she does - the first two prototypes ever are on that trolley !

Jeez, how much cider would Alex pay to hire a Dingo for a day ? I used one for 2 days last weekend and they are the only way to go :thunbs: I've got a sloping block too, though not as big as Jamyie and Alex's.

we thought about getting in a bobcat, but they chew up the ground too much when they turn

Jeez - you have done some good work. It's great making something new like that - very satisfying.
