Just joned the club, picked up a JD L120 with 48 inch deck and 22HP B&S this morning for a great price. Needs a tidy up as the powder coating is all lifting. Other than that it has only done 337 hours, which considering the meter runs if you leave the key on is not much at all.

New filters, oil and blades tomorrow a spash of JD green and we might be mobile by the weekend :thumb: .

Anyone know much about Greenfields ride on mowers? They left me an old one with the new house, its in poor condition so Im wondering if its worth rebuilding/painting etc or just look for a new one. The engine runs but is a little rough. Ill post a pic when I get home from work.

Greenfields are made in QLD and have a good rep, just not as fancy looking as the big names.

Before or should I say during.

About 80% of the powder coating on the main deck and the mower deck had pretty much lifted, shoddy coating I think as it should not lift if preped properly. I would be really pissed if I had of bought it new and it did this. The rest of the mower is in excellent condition and shows no damage from weather or misuse.

The deck is currently completely stripped and awaiting pickup of some JD yellow tomorrow morning. New blades, one spindle (which came with it), filters and oil. Yellow gaffa tape patch up on the seat with a new cover to hide it. Just like a new one :thumb:

That is a weapon Charlie, i would definitely be keeping it. Paint looks alright. If it cuts lawn crap remove the deck and use it as a garden tractor.

Yea it is a pretty cool rig, very solid thats for sure. Im not sure what condition the cutter is in but thats a good idea using it for a little tractor if its cactus.

Yea the chicken run is massive, there is a seperation down the middle of that so there is two sections and the back half is under cover where we can put the roosts and nests (is that what you call them?). Ive never owned chickens before so Ill have to do some reading on the chicken thread to get some ideas. We went to a market while we were over there and they had a few different breeds of chickens there for sale but I dont know what is what.

Date is set to move over in february, so only 3 months to go, getting very excited!

Another angle view of the chicken run. It needs a clean up but should be a winner
