keep layering until the bed is full and wet down real good. this bed has 7 cardboard layers, and 60 cubic feet of fresh oak chips...and 5 pounds of spawn this bed is 8'x4'x2' or 64 cf

Beautiful..... I'll be interested to see what happens with this Worms... Attachment: 523623546-wine1.jpg [ 136.16 KiB | Viewed 12345 times ] Just yesterday I was shopping at my favourite fruit and veg shop and I saw "black fungus" for sale. $5.99 for a small foam tray with this one jelly like fungus thing on it.. I reckon there must be a $ or two in different fungus, especially with this resurgence in cuisine and cooking that we seem to be having of late. Black fungus, also called Jelly fungus, and this looks about the same size as what I saw at the shop for $5.99. Attachment: 2772.jpg [ 47.15 KiB | Viewed 12345 times ] |

Yep, black witches butter looks exactly right... I was amazed, 6 bucks for just a little bit of mould... Cool found a place here in Perth that has oyster mushroom growing kits http://www.swanvalleygourmetfungi.com/ that makes a nice change from the standard button mushroom kits. |
