I have 2 Barbados cherry trees. Just put them in 2 months ago. One was fruiting for a little bit but they arent fruiting at the moment - apparently they fruit 3 times a year.

How big is your plant snags?
Where do you live, Tropical? Not many people have heard of them outside of the Tropics.

I hope you like your Vitamin C :)

I have a feeling i'm going to have to try one of these in Brisbane. They look like a pretty nice tree too.

I live in Central Qld Between Glady and Bundy
So Subtropical
Great looking tree, nice pink flowers, dark green shiny leave, fruits at least 3 times a year if not more(I haven't counted, it seems to have some fruit on it every few months,I remember picking a few fruit of it only a month before)
Mine is about 8 years old about 2 metres high and 1 metre wide.
Its grown in really bad soil(lots of solid rock ,no top soil and just dusty subtropical leached clay soil) with virtually no extra water.
I give it a bit humonia occasionally.

This year is the best ever, probably all the rain but its nearly always had some fruit on it ,and had a few big flushes ,the flowering now is all over so Imagine it will be covered in a few weeks but still has spot fruit all over it.
This tastes quite nice especially when really ripe (dark red).

Ive tried a Brazilian cherry it tastes a bit resinous and perfumey, apparently loses that after a few days in the fridge heard it makes a good jam too ( I have one as well but it hasn't fruited yet I also have 2 Grumichanas still yet to fruit and 2 jaboticabas again no fruit yet

Ah jaboticabas... I've bought a couple over the years but lost them for various reasons... I think they fruit on the old wood don't they? SO might take a while before getting fruit. They are supposed to taste nice though from what I've heard.

My jaboticababas are about 10 years old so it shouldn't be long now.
