The Bloods have grown bigger and are now a lot darker and the Sunrise are ripening up nicely as you'll see in the bottom photo.

Nice.... I saw finger limes for sale the other day at Tony Ales (fruit n veg store) . First time I have ever seen them for sale, it's good to see some natives starting to get a market and become available.

have had 2 good years of the red centre and this is third year nearly over. Great in the coronas and cantinas. and taste great.

Mine is in a pot and certainly not as leafy as in previous years but bearing fruit. I should probably do some cutting back of roots and new mix in pot after this years fruiting. In fact all my fruit trees are in pots and looking a bit leafless. Job is on the list!

My future plan is to move to small acreage and I will be taking my trees with me and then planting them. Cmon lotto :god:

We have native limes growing around here that look similar to the sunrise

Rumour is they are bastardised mutations of what captain cook planted where ever he went
Don't know if its true but its a good story and he did come here in 1770 and he did plant limes.

I tried one of the finger limes not that long ago, the inside was not like traditional citrus the little fruit flesh segments were capsulised like a pomegranite so you could bite the end off and squeeze from the other end so the capsules pop out into your mouth like a tube of tooth paste.

There were delicious, very sharp, tangy and zesty flavour I could imagine putting the capsules into a G'n'T on a nice hot summers day, I am definatly getting one of these :joy:

I gave my tree away to a friend who had been desperately looking for one... I think he may have found a replacement, I should get my hands on it... Love they way they are little round juice sacks, say a pic5ture recently that had red, orange and greeny coloured ones all together, looked very impressive....

Is the finger lime what is sometimes called the Sublime?
