Well I guess this is an often overlooked situation when preparing for gardening or not. I was playing in the garden earlier after just wandering around looking. Just happened to do some light pruning and as I was wandering the garden with a cup of coffee I generously let Eddy where my steel caps and I wore the japanese safety boots. Well anyway a little later lost my grip on the secateurs and ended up on the ground in a huge pool of flowing blood. While calling for help to soak up the lipstick red blood, apply pressure. I am thinking what should I do, have a close look but it just kept pulsing out. Call next for the camera, stop staining the brick paving, ask for coffee to be passed as well as ice. No ice, okay frozen peas will do. The peas did the trick and the blood stopped, cleaned wound with antiseptic swab and dressed using first aid kit, woohoo :thumb:
Now I am thinking when did I last have a tetanus, not in the last 7 years,Should I have one, of course I prefer not to put myself through any more pain and wasted time in the doctors surgery. Guess I wont be dancing tonight. :sad2: I also wont be gardening without the steelcaps either.
Look away if you don't like the sight of blood

Faye,
Thats a nice bit of clotting on your safety boot!! Your veggies are obviously keeping you healthy with plenty of vitamin K. Yep, time for a jab. Will give you 10years cover and we will all be able to give you a reminder of when it is next due. 20/02/2020 Heehee!

Love the date Sue, perhaps I will wait until Monday, dont want to spoil my weekend then it will be 22/02/2020 before I am due again.

Was wondering about where to put the iron rich blood VB, there was lots directly on the garden I asked Eddy if he should at least put it into the watering can, you should have seen the look as he headed for the laundry trough. :sad2:

A SAM- Jaymie!
Spot the hazard, Assess the risk and Make the changes.
Should have been wearing PPE.

Yeah, tell me about it. Health and safety officer at work, don't tell the boss I may lose my job for mismanagement.

Yuck.....

Did I read that correctly that you gave the boots to Eddy? I think you had better go and get yourselves a spare pair so that both of you can wear steel caps at the same time..
