Hi,

Hoping someone from Australia can help me identify what kind of grub in infesting my herb planters.
I'm attaching a picture for identification. It is about a centimeter thick and about 3 cm long and VERY gross! When I find them I toss them into the lawn for the birds to feast on. I really don't want to put chemicals on my edibles if I can avoid it.

Cheers,
Beth

Cockchafer - larva of scarab beetle. Also known as curl grubs. Some are beneficial such as the dung beetle larva, but it is a pest if it is chewing your roots or feeding on the foliage at night.
