Well I have a small flock of white and brown cortunix quail. For some reason they started laying eggs in the middle of winter. Anyway I put a couple dozen quail as well as 3 dozen chicken eggs in the incubator on Dec. 20th and got my first white hatchling this evening. Not real confident on my success rate being the cold temps I collected them in. I candled the chicken eggs and of the 37 eggs 7 weren't fertile. I have had only about 50% success with quail. I will know for sure in the next two days. Chickens should hatch in 4-5 more days. Quail take 17-18 days chickens take 21-22 days. |

Doh! Don't you worry Simo, that is the thing about nature. Your confession is acknowledge and you are free to not worry any longer. Maybe we need a confession thread on this site too. |

Hey Simo I just saw your confession. Never mind, I learnt a while ago that there are no strings attached when animals are concerned. |
