I've decided to give up on Damaras of the moment but think I have found a clean skin sheep variety that would be perfect for small blocks such as mine I came across them last year but the only place I could find them being bred was at a rare breeds farm in SA: http://members.bordernet.com.au/~genelink/mini.htm Just found out that some one in York bought 10 over from SA to WA and are breeding http://www.petteetpark.com.au/page2.php ... 4c4bb5971c Here is their for sale page http://www.petteetpark.com.au/for_sale.php Here is another link to a page that show all cleanskin sheep breeds http://www.cleanskinsheep.com.au/breeddescription.htm |

I guess as with most things there's a period when they are more expensive because they are new and different. They have only been around for a few years so not much in the way of breeding stock around, I notice they aren't selling females.... So I guess that the males are a bit useless except as pets. |

Yeah, that's what I thought, I can understand $600 for a Ram as you can breed from them and you are buying the genes, but $300 for a small wether is a bit rich |

Still, $300 or $600 is still cheap for a lawn mower. |

Grab a ram and put it over another small breed of sheep |
