Mixing chillies with chooks water or feed is rumoured to be a natural worming treatment. We haven't used it, but our chooks don't seem to have any problems with worms.

I get magpies digging out seedlings Bush turkeys redistributing my mulch where I dont want it Crows eating my passionfruits and mandarins and Parrots eating my basil seeds and chewing holes in capsicums to eat the seeds.
Its all fun
My mate had a swarm of cockys eat the seeds out of all his citrus about 20 trees.

Absorootry ! (with respect to the chilli info provided on the previous page).
Minor correction though - it's the Scoville scale, named after Wilbur Scoville, the guy who invente the original technique for measuring the heat level of chillies.
They still call it that now, more out of tradition that anything else as it's all done with High Presssure Gas Chromatography and computers now.
