Pepper's 'day out'. Each day we let one out of their pen to explore and say hi to the others!

They love it! We have had to lay slabs though, and put sand on top so they don't dig to China!

Another big weekend....tidying up- weeding, planting, getting wood, chain sawing a large tree branch that fell in the garden, mowing, and seeding two paddocks to provide food for the sheep.....

Looks like a big job, I had a fertiliser spreader that you could have borrowed. You should be right for the rain, I think it should be here tomorrow if all goes to plan.

Thanks for the offer, I usually sit on the back of the tractor (tied on!!) and throw it out as we go so it is much quicker, but I have a sore shoulder so couldn't do it this time...we had to go much more sedately!
The sky is grey...rain is forecast....fingers are crossed....

Rain...rain ...rain!! It certainly did arrive! We have 10 acres, mostly bush but we try to grow some feed for the sheep in some areas. Will take a walk around the paddocks to see if the seed is sprouting yet....

The rabbits are growing at a rapid rate (as they do!). Here they are at four weeks old....

Big tree came down about 6.30am Saturday across another big marri and crashed all over my shed, one garden bed and the chook house. Chooks must have fairly shyte themselves, have not gone off the lay though :) . Fair bit of damage and been all week trying to organise insurance and cleanup. Tree is now off the shed but marri is still awaiting a haircut. Will try and remember to post some photos later.

That's a beautiful Eden like property you have there guys. I breed tasty bunnies also, and i am curious do you have any problems with Coccidiosis (spots on the liver) we had this problem until we moved to commercial cages a few years ago,so that the manure falls away from the rabbits. I do like the idea of them being able to have a free range about the place. Do you throw all the straw and manure onto you veggie gardens mine loves it.
