This is the most familiar larvae of a ladybird that i have seen, the one below is possibly a different variety of ladybird larvae, sooo excited.

Is that what they are? Brilliant! I'm up to 4 species of ladybird so far and the appearance of these weird little things was getting a bit scary. Ladybird larvae :-)

This mornings harvest, an absolute rainbow of colours. Veges collected at the time of animal feeding rounds.

I have one which dive bombs me on my way to the bus stop each morning and again on the way home in the afternoon.

The way it 'chirps' at me is like it is telling me off. Very funny.

They are one of my favourite birds.

The pool garden is a little closer to being ready for summer. Cleared out some of the weeds and need to get some fertiliser and mulch and a few more well chosen plants plus a shade sail to protect from those 45 degree temps.

This is the view looking from the pavillion, still needs a little tlc. The bottom pond is next to a walk way which needs another topup of sawdust and a few rocks to give that natural feel around the pond. The frogs don't seem to mind.

The patio wraps around the house with a pool table on the back verandah, great for summer entertaining. A gateway leads off to the pool area, and a path to a native garden which meanders to a gazebo overlooking the front lawn and on to the driveway.

Another 2 truckloads of mulch are expected to arrive in the next 24 hours. That will give the snakes somewhere to hide in the heat. :bash: Gardening goes on hold a bit when the sankes come out, other than the aquaponic system which doesn't take much to look after.

That is the handywork of my very clever husband Arbe. His first work was an awesome dragonfly. I love them, he is working up to another creation and I can't wait.

They are awesome! Danae reckons someone should knit some colored wings for the butterfly :)
