Robs tiny backyard garden.

With block sizes getting smaller and smaller, it's hard to have a decent garden close to town nowadays.
I'll add pics of my garden as I take them.

Trying orchids for the first time. I got a heap of plants from my wife's grandad.
This is the first to flower.

Hopefully this tree produces some fruit this year. It is a grafted stone fruit with 6 different varieties. Can't remember them all. Haha.
Yellow peach, white peach, yellow nectarine, white nectarine, plum (can't remember variety) and the last one I can't remember. Maybe apricot/peachcot.

Nice orchid Rob, where I grew up there were quite a few varieties that would grow in the bush, my favorites are spider orchids.

There was some discussion taking place a few days back on grafting...

Planted seeds yesterday preparing for summer.
I am growing a few different varieties this year.

Tomatoes-
Green Grape Cherry (no staking cherry. Award winning flavour)
Brandywine Pink
Green Zebra
Costoluto Genovese (great for sauce apparently)

Chillies-
Jalapeno (love stuffing with cheddar and cream cheese, wrapping in prosciutto and oven bake)
Butch T
Moruga Scorpion
Fatalii
Aji Limon

Also planted a few Heirloom eggplants, and leeks.

I haven't tried the green zebra yet. Heard it was good so got some seeds for this year.

I really want to try the green grape tomato. Thats what I am most excited about.

And am growing super hot chillies to try make chilli salt and sauces

Ive had heaps of these

they make the best chilli sauce
Roast them then blend with salt and vinegar and add tomato sauce
Its hot but not kill you hot and has great flavour.
Tried it with birds eyes and its dangerous
I use the birds-eyes straight in vinegar with salt after a few months it can be blended in to a Tabasco sauce or just use the chilli vinegar and dice up the pickled chillis into a stir fry.

The Scotch Bonnet hot as hell. Bought a Thai red and aSweet yellow chilli on the weekend. Will have to set up a couple half blue barrel wicking beds for them, cheers.

Some of the chillies I have here make scotch bonnets look like a capsicum. Haha.
First time I have grown these types. I usually just grow jalapenos for pickling and poppers (stuffed with cream/cheddar cheese mix, wrapped in prosciutto or bacon and oven baked)
Scotch Bonnet Scoville heat rating is about 325,000
Butch T max heat rating is around 1,460,000
Moruga Scorpion is around 2,000,000

A guy I worked with used to grow butch t and dried them with some garlic, blitzed them up to a powder and I love that stuff sprinkled on a steak or in my spaghetti.

Grubs Mystery Green (medium height - large sweet fruity)
Lime Green Salad (dwarf plant - sweet zingy)
