Nocky

Yep - Kang Kong growing well - not big enough to take a decent harvest and cook it, but well on the way.

Lippia - not a problem - will do

Builder is about to be informed his contract is terminated, which will no doubt lead to some happy, constructive discussions.

Have NFI about the Kang Kong, different nocky :dunno:
Lippia will be great, do you want my cooch and calthrop in exchange  it's no problem
Wow finally sacking the builder, finding a builder to take on someone else's work can be a hassle also

:error: - whoops, scanning posts too fast - it was EB that asked.

EB, going well but I haven't harvested any yet as enough to be worth cooking would set the plant back significantly at this point. Prolly in about 3 weeks.

Nocky, I'll pass up the opportunity on the cooch and 3-corner-jacks - but thanks anyway :hello:

Oh yeah, realise getting rid of him isn't going to convert everything to paradise, but it's the lesser evil than keeping the :swear: on the job !

Harvested some Kang Kong over the weekend and stir-fried it with some sesame oil, fish sauce, chilli and garlic ! Beautiful. Sorry, didn't get any piccies of that.

Anybody know if the fungus in the below piccy is edible ? It's pretty leathery so I suspect not.

I would avoid any fungus that colour :scared2:

I also wouldn't eat it if someone on the intraweb thought it look edible to them

Take some to the Ag Dept. in Bentley. They should be able to identify it although saying that, I took what I figured were field mushies growing in my back yard and they agreed with me but one bloke said he wouldnt risk eating it especially if you can buy it safe in the shops. My argument with him, Why would you pay for it if you could grow it yourself??

CD, I did try mine out and they didnt taste like shop mushies but who is to say that the shop mushies have the normal taste. My mushies tasted a bit like marzipan which I think is what cyanide is likened to :ahhh: I am still alive obviously. And unfortunately still having to go to work!! But that colour fungi I would be cautious of. You may end up on a nicer planet though. You can of course use that fungi for making colours for your tie dye kaftans if you want to wander loose and free around the property!

I reckon I've had those marzipan one pop up here once a few years back.

I already annoy the neighbours by wandering around here - but without the kaftan :D

Good to have the real FunGuy hanging out if you can get away with it in the neighbourhood.
