Thats the second highest Paulownia. The larger one is getting close to the arrowroot.

Only realised today that the second shoot on the budda belly bamboo is twice as thick as the first one. If it follows a similar time frame the black bamboo will send up a second shoot in the next couple of weeks and I will not notice it till its a mtr tall. And its not black yet. :(

In the remaining 40000ltrs. Going to dump some more soon. Was surprised that there were not more solids on the bottom. Vacuumed most of it and there was only enough to count for dust over the last year.

Just curious Duff - why tip out so much water if there's nothing seriously wrong with it (that's my assumption).

I like to keep the water level a bit under the top of the pool just in case some of the fish want to check out whats over the edge. With the rain the water was up to the top. Plus the filter works better when the level is down and the water returning to the pool make a bigger splash.

I also wanted to have a go at catching some of the larger ones and I think less water is the key. The big silvers move way too fast in a large volume of water. And as they get bigger they tend to be vegetarian so no hook. Can't say the same for the 300+ catfish tho.

I managed to find a very small lure that looks just like a fish pellet, works ok when you throw a handfull of pellets in as well as the lure. At least the first few times..
