Just add it after your location.

GS, scroll up to the top of the screen, above where it says "view new posts" it says FAQ Search Members User Control Panel

Click on User Control Panel (its below the banner picture  )

At the left hand side of the screen is another section called Options

Look thru that list until you see Profile, click on that, and it will bring up a heap of boxes for various info about you. Fill in the location and click Submit

:)

Under the Profile tab is also Edit Signature, write your piece, preview it and Submit it :)

You are all very kind and patient, but I promise you I do not have a User Control Panel anywhere on my screen. I've even done a search and it came up with a zero. Below is a cut-and-paste of everything on my screen in the band below the banner.

Next I'll try looking for it on DH's PC - maybe it's a Mac thing.

Thank you for your helpful advice.

Press on User Control Panel. You have written down that it is on your screen under the banner after Members. You can get to your profile from there.

Granny have a look at the Chook Picture at the top of the page, it is about where the chook is going to Crap, better still click this link User Control Panel, when in here you click on profile on the left, then edit your details and click submit button at bottom of page, return to profile and you can edit your Signature etc, must be the bloody Mac, handy having an apple in a BY Farming forum though 8-)

You other West Australians putting temperate and Mediterranean in your climate classifications - are you in the same southern half of WA as me ??????

Both those terms imply that, at some point, it cools down and even rains !

Dunno about you but the climate in my area is channelling some place in the middle of the Sahara :hot: since about October. Rain ? Ha ! I think someone spat on my driveway a few weeks back, but that's about it.

This site gives a good description of zones and what to plant in your zone, I posted it elsewhere, very useful http://www.gardenate.com/

Duh :bash:

I didn't read what I copied and pasted from DH's PC. The screen only shows Search - not UCP.

Anyway, now I've removed all doubt that I'm computer-thick. I'll go back onto DH's PC and make my changes (I hope) because I don't have FAQ, Search or UCP anywhere on my Mac screen - promise.

So, a thousand thanks for your kindnesses. Watch this space

Good luck Granny Smith. I'm still a 'learner' on computers too. Trying hard to keep up with technology but it's going one direction and my brain is going in the other :sad2:
