I wonder if it's going to be like putting together Ikea furniture? Good luck with it LV... :)

I've got it out of the box at least, should do for a start. I think I need something bigger.

I've got to make a new chook pen in the center of the yard with about 4 gates. You can then have the chooks working in different parts of the yard depending on whats growing and whats finished.

Put my little kit together, the finish is quite good. Maybe a little small after seeing it in the flesh.

Next step make a small run and get some chooks.

Probably :D it was advertised as suitable for guinea pigs, rabbits and chooks.

Might make a good house for some quail, not sure I can convince the family to eat them though.

If you want it to last keep it out of the rain.

I've got a house by the same people (well, looks like the construction is exactly the same and I bought it on ebay) for my guinea pigs. It's been out in full weather for a year and a half.

The floor of the covered section has buckled right up due to getting wet, the interior walls are buckling, the hinges are all rusty, and the wire panel on the lift-up section of the run (mine is a different shape to yours, with a run along the bottom all wired and a second story covered part over 1/3 of the run) have fallen out of the wooden frame - which is rotting.

It's still working for it's intended purpose, it's just slowly disintegrating.

Sounds like good advice Ali...

It does look a bit smaller than in the pictures. They must have been laying down when they took the pics.. :)

They had to be, it is smaller than I anticipated.

I've decided to build myself a larger chook house, something with a bit more room that I can stand in.

Really should finish my second AP set-up first though, I have a bad habit of starting multiple projects. They all then drag on until completion.

For sure... You need to have many projects on the go at all times so that you can swap from one to the other as interest peaks and troughs... :o)

Upgraded my chook pen to a cubby house from eBay, got 7 hens now so it should give them plenty of room.
