Cool - that's what I'm teaching the youngest daughter to do - at 11 they still give a damn you talk about !

I put 2kg of Nicola in 1 1/2 weeks back. Most of them barely had any eyes, let alone shoots. Will see how I go, but not overly confident. Am a bit disappointed that they were at the stage they are when I bought them.

we have bought a couple of varieties from bunnings. A white and a pink, will have to look for the tags to be able to tell you which ones.

Been about 3 wks now and still waiting for them to chit properly. Starting to get impatient and will more than likely plant them out this weekend.

I gotta admit, that in contrast to most of the posts here, I don't bother waiting for the potatoes to sprout before planting - never have.

The ones the youngest and I planted a month ago are now 40-50 cm high and we put the second layer of tyres on them last weekend.

Hoping to get some photos up Sunday.

I have been waiting for my spuds to sprout too, bugger it they go in this weekend no matter what.

Does anyone here use Potato E fertiliser? I never have before, preferring organic goodness, but if results are markedly better I will change.

Yes, I've used it, but wouldn't say it makes a lot of difference.

okky dokky, sick of waiting for that lush amount of chitting. Ours will go in this weekend. They have started, just not much growth. Seems to be taking for ever (I mustnt be talking to them enough)
