I purchased 2 sheets of 7mm concreting mesh. One i bent over and used as an arch the the other I stood up on its side in a half circle as a trellis. A couple of star pickets and it works great. Later I'll run some wire over the top. I'll get a couple of pictures later. It did work out the quickest and cheapest method. I can still move it around and the half circle can have a fruit tree planted in the middle.

Anyone else have good ideas for strong shade structures?

We have had some savage breezes through this year so my shade will need to be pretty robust and well anchored.

Cheers
Dennis

I'm building one of these tomorrow for my new Muscadine grape.

I'd love to see pics of yours if you have the time.
