Hi All

seeing as i've been reading a fair bit of info here, thought I may as well finally join and introduce myself.

The wife and I purchased a 1/4 acre in Bellbowrie at the start of the year, and are slowly turning the yard into a fruit and vegetable machine.

The dirt garden is going great guns. 4 1.2x2.4m raised beds are currently planted with/producing lettuce, carrots, mina romas, leeks, zucchini, squash, eggplants, asparagus, spring onions, purple king beans, snake beans, snow peas and probably more stuff i've forgotten.
Pumpkins are slowly taking over the back yard.

6 1.1m round, 300mm deep aquaponics growbeds fed off a 3000l pond are just cycling at the moment. aim is to supply nearly all our leafy greens from them, and leave the dirt for the longer timeframe things. Jade perch are keeping that all fed.

fruit trees include dwarf mango, macadamia, grumichuma, lime, lemon, advocado, banana, papaya, bay tree, blueberries, lillypillies. about 8 more to add once the backyard is in better condition (50 sqM of green manure until next spring)

herbs and other things are dotted sround the house.

2 chooks produce more eggs that I am used too. considereing a dozen meat birds, but need to find them for a good price first.

I think thats all. still learning the different seasons in brisbane. spent my first 28 years in Melbourne, so dont really understand tomatoes and strawberries in winter yet, but we are getting there.

I'll try and take some photos and get them up.
