Yeah but there's rain and then there's rain.... I've heard about the rains they get, and as a west Australian it's hard to comprehend that sort of rain...

Well, I mounded up around the potatoes again today and seasolled the corn and cucurbits. I also brought a new bed online. It is half a blue drum that I am going to put more potatoes in, just to see how they go.
Everything else it just ticking along nicely :)

It's not an AP Growbed, just 1/2 a drum onna stand with some gravel in the base, followed by some clay from the hole under the house that the kids have sug and the top 1/3 or so is the finished compost from the heap. The only concern is that the compost had a lot of dry cow manure in it and I haven't been keeping it moist, whei I first watered it yesty it started to repel in some spots. I might just give it another soak today before I plant anything in it.

Whoops :dunno: - my mistake - made an assumption when you said "online".

Guess that means I'm not as interested  - but I still care

It's nice to know you care :)
having another look at it I may forgo the potatoes in it and put in some eggplant seedlings instead. We have struck some a few weeks ago but have had absolutely no luck in growing them in the AP, maybe a dirt garden will get better results.
