How is your beetroot Nash, looks a bit unusual with the light beetroot rather than the deep purple colour.. Taste good?

The beetroot tastes great EB lots of flavor and not to much vinegar :)

I know who done it FB but decided to take a better approach then just thump the bugger.

OK...haven't had much garden time atm, its sorta gone to crap actually, the yard garden is still producing great carrots and beetroot and another pickling day is coming soon
The bigger garden with the corn, I've just left after our little storm, but have plans for it in winter, broad beans and peas etc.
The last 2 weekends have been getting ready for winter, both Sunday mornings I've been up at 5am waiting for the light ( yep the days are getting shorter) and into the wood cutting, I'm not going cold this winter :dont:

I had to look up what a swampy was...

I have an old evap cooler here at the shop, must be about 20 years old at least and it world a treat. We've bought a couple of different types of evap coolers for the shop lately and they are crap. All three new air coolers put together don't offer as much cooling as the old one.. I should have known when the new ones have water capacities of between 1L and 5L, while the old one holds over 20L of water.

Thing to remember with a swampy is they lose 30% ish of there effectiveness per year. So changing the bats does make a difference.

I was going to build one for the shop but ended up putting a large ducted split system(3phase) runs on the same power as a normal split but puts out 1200ltrs of air a min. Was ment to do 7 room house but I have it using one outlet. Cost under 4 grand but that was wholesale price and I installed most of it.

I'll have some more pics soon FB
So, started last week getting the big vegie garden in order, retic sorted and started planting onions, brussel sprouts, cabbages and broadbeans.
This weekend I'll get the artichoke planted (Thanks Burnsy) as they have already sprouted and the telephone and sugarsnap peas plus a heap of garlic
The square garden in the yard needs turning over then a shipload of carrots and leeks to go in there plus some more beetroot and garlic.

Pictures when my freaking home computer decides it wants to start :bad:

Gnash, you get any of the artichoke seed to germinate? Pretty sure it is the right time now as mine that had died off are now resprouting.
