Gnash, you get any of the artichoke seed to germinate? Pretty sure it is the right time now as mine that had died off are now resprouting.

This weekend I'll get the artichoke planted (Thanks Burnsy) as they have already sprouted

Yeah mate...they all sprouted and I planted them especially for the cockys to come rip them out :swear:

I'll start another lot and guard them better :bat:

How is that garden of yours mate? I'm too embarrassed to put up a pic of mine, it's in a shocking state.

 Slowly getting there EB....bit of a hectic weekend, at work Sat morning then repaired my rotary hoe and finished the small yard garden in the arvo.
Sunday I repaired the retic to all gardens (someone has very sharp teeth :bad: ) nearly finished putting up more wire for the peas to grow up, did lawns and burnt piles of leaves.
Mad dash for Perth Monday and home by 10am, planted out the small garden with bok, pak and Joi choy on the rises and my leeks will go into the furrows.
The broad beans are powering along, Garlic is up (with more to be planted) onions are slow but getting there (with more to be planted).
The :swear: aphids are already trying to munch on the cabbages and this year I'm not bothering with the old garlic and chilli spray...as far as I can tell it just doesn't work and I'm going to use chem....yes I know :bad: boy but I'm just sick of planting and getting bugger all results.
I think I will stick to the leafy vegies in the yard this year.
The bigger yard garden has more carrots (and dragon carrots  ), swedes, turnips, cauli, broccoli and parsnips coming up with room for something else once the older carrots are taken.

Pictures when I can :thumb:

Just shop garlic works fine for planting, buy double the amount and save some for planting, starting to get a bit late though.

And almost no weeds. My yard is like the lawn grew over everything. I'd kill for dirt.
