Hi Everyone! I find this forum from the BYAP forum. I am all about sustainability, not because I'm a hippie tree hugger, but because I like being independent and not having to rely on others to live. I have always loved the outdoors and have a passion for survival camping. I figure that combining BYAP with BYF will basically provide everything I need for my family to live comfortably with relatively little cost.

I look forward to conversing with all of you, especially those in other locales.

Its good to be more independent. When shopping yesterday the girl next to me at the checkout looked at what I was buying(4 items) and said you don't cook much. I told her I cook all the time but grow most of what I need. She seemed shocked, then paid the $220 for her groceries. I paid the $20 for mine.
