Hi there!

I'm Daffy and I'm passionate about growing my own food.

At the moment I have 2 mature bowen mango trees, a passion fruit vine that I I have growing up one of the mango trees that won't fruit, an assortment of fruit trees and veges.

I'm a bit of a reptile/animal nut and I'm owned by two cats (one is what might be kindly call..ahem...."special needs"..lol)
I also have 2 blue tongue lizards and 5 pythons and a fluctuating population of fancy rats.

I'm looking to expand my food producing capabilities as food prices and distrust of supermarket offered "fresh" foods grow.
Another factor is I'm a student and so prices of food and it's dubious food value and shelf age are of a great concern to me.

I'm of country stock.
I've grown cattle and sheep and in recent history (but not currently) have owned Dexter cattle.
Past hobbies have also included a passion for African rift lake cichlids.

In short, self sufficiency has been a constant theme regardless of circumstances.

I look forward to swapping ideas, brain storming and most importantly learning from those who know more than myself.

Cheers,
~Daffy.

Try your next passionfruit over a wattle
the wattle will give it support and nitrogen and it will die at about the same time as the vine needs replacing.
