Have a thunderstorm coming atm...lots of light hitting the ground + stubble and still some crops = bad :ohdear:

But, I just stopped filling the new garden bed to wander over and check out my corn, the tassels have gone brown and started to wilt on most of it.
I am a bit chuffed at the three I checked

On another note I was trolling one of the Bull terrier rescue sited the other day and a beautiful little girl was up for a new home (owners couldn't keep her...or really control her for that matter :ohdear: )
I couldn't help myself and picked Lilly up 2 days ago :)

The thing the previous owner didn't tell me was......she is in heat :ohdear: ....Grot is locked away in his pen much to his disgust but the last thing I need are puppies :bash:

lol, the catcher. Well that fits with the theme of "make the most of what you've got" but really Gnash couldn't you have at least given her a blanket or something :sad2:

The corn looks like it was not pollinated properly.

But why only in the yellow patch? the rest was dark green and the cobs are perfect :inspect:

Not sure. But corn is planted close due to the pollen falling down to the cobs. If the plants didn't produce a lot of pollen due to something lacking in the soil it would of only effected the plants in that area. If it happens on the next crop maybe manually pollinate half of the yellow plants and see.

What was growing in that area before you started using it as a garden. a few trees could of dropped something into the soil that effects other plants.
