Cool spiders are great, I snapped this huntsman on an 8 inch beam on my verandah.

Guess you probably wont like this little baby then Gnash. When I went in to the chook pen today to check on the duck eggs, I was catapulted backwards when I walked in to a spider web. It was sooo strong, I looked up and found this beautiful creature, though I do not know what sort it is yet.

Great photo Faye. That's a golden orb weaver. It makes one of the strongest spider webs in the world.

They are gorgeous!! We have loads too, but they help catch the flies etc...and have been known to catch birds in their webs too! It certainly isn't fun walking into their webs though :run:

This scorpion fell into a post hole I had dug and left uncovered over night, it is next to 1.5 inch pipe to show you the size, it is the biggerst one I have seen in my neck of the woods.

This motorbike frog is one of two living in my aquaponics fish tank, he seems to avoid the trout somehow.

I love the way he has turned grey to blend in with the steel.
