Thanks Bushy!
There are only three, but we are happy with that after two unsuccessful sittings previously.

The turkeys are now big enough to free range in the orchard.... :thumb: Now we have to choose which of the three males to keep as breeding stock.....

They are happily doing their job-eating bugs and grazing the grass....though they do eye off the veggie garden too much!

Graded the yabbies again...there are squillions of babies, ranging from 1 cm to 3 cm, plus some bigger ones!

We decided not to eat any yet, but try to get more of them to a decent size. Couldn't resist putting this pretty one in the aquarium in the house!!

Meanwhile, on the veggie side, the kale is getting eaten before my eyes! The whitefly have been around for ages, but now it must be being eaten by caterpillars though I haven't been able to see a single one! :anger:

Looks like you need "Dipel" for the Kale, btw what is the name of the dark green kale at the back with the long skinny leaves, I have grown it before but I have had trouble finding the seeds lately, I think it is called black spinch or Italian kale is that right?

Are the yabbies in the Pool?

The one being eaten you mean??? Funny how the other isn't!!
It is Black Russian kale.
Yes, got the dipel, so hopefully no more will be eaten...do you know if it should be repeated?

The yabbies are in two IBCs (babies in one, biggies in the other) rather than the pool.....don't fancy getting my toes bitten when swimming!!

Chicken

Hopefully the yabbie you put in the tank will shed and start going bright blue

Are they blue when they moult? I chose this one because it was quite blue compared to the others, though it doesn't show in the photo so much!

Another project finished...more or less....the 'bush foods garden'. We have redone the front of the house...from a huge, sunburnt philodendron to a native garden incorporating several bush food plants.

There are still a couple of things to put in such as the desert lime, finger lime and bush tomato.

Now we need it to grow!!

Can't speak about the desert lime or the bush tomato, but I do know the finger lime needs to be kept warm (they will not survive well in a frosty environment) and you would be best to have two for proper pollination.
