Thought I would share some pics of my suburban backyard while I did my rounds this morning.

This morning started with picking some oats I am growing in my Aquaponics system:

Which I then fed to my chooks:

The chooks love the fresh oats and have been giving us 3 - 4 eggs every day:

After taking care of the chooks I feed the fish in my AP system:

The fish are always hungry. As soon as you walk near the tank you can hear them 'mouthing' the water waiting for the food to be thrown in.

In addition to the AP system and Chooks I also have a grapevine and orange tree:

These are still getting established but are growing fast.

I also have some strawberries growing in a wicking bed. These are doing well despite the neglect they received until recently.

Since I pulled out all the old growth they have really shown improvement.

Finally, here is the newest addition to the family. Her name is Ruby and she is about 6 months old.

Looking good! Nice layout. Where is the aquaponic system in relation to everything else?

Redbeard, one of our dogs is getting quiet old. Just lays around doing pretty much nothing. I am amazed she is still here.

The new dog is my partners and for my dog to play with.

If you notice the plastic mesh around the wicking bed - that is to keep the new dog out. She likes to jump up there and dig. Luckily she cant jump up on the grow bed like Lucy used to.

Same place, it is a pretty cool setup they have. We need to visit again to get some fetiliser cubes for the three lillies in the pond as they did not flower as prolifically last year as the first year we had them.
