Fabulous food forest! We went to see Joe once too and came out with a lot more than we had planned!! Let's hope all the Perth gardens don't get too crispy today with 41 forecast!

Another trip to Tass1trees, now I have 2 date palms, Chelli lemon (sweet), Chinotto, sugar cane, Natal plum, 2 goji berries and a miricle fruit/berry bush.

Also got a ute load of pine needles form the side of the road in Ellenbrook to mulch my berry beds.

Bring on the rain I say.

There is still plenty of pine needle around Ellenbrook. I don't think you made a dent in the amount laying around.

Place is looking good Simo. Have you planted out the trees you have purchased? Any pics?

The wood was all moved by hand (or is it by back?) but the soil that will cover it will be trucked in an moved by mecanical aids, probably a bobcat.

I recieved a truck load of lovely black peaty sand for the Hügelkultur Swales last week allowing me to finish them off.

I started off with the piles of mostly old wood logs and leaves which I alinged across my food forest area along the contures so they are level ensuring the water pools and soaks into the ground.

Then I dumped a generous amount of composted manure on the wood.
