*NE - small corner behind AP sys. shade house, shaded by neighbours trees

* N – big BBQ & Smoker combo plus two big avocado trees had to give way to house extension some years ago
so all the other trees had to go to allow for remodelling, not much to show here.

* E – the dogs run, had two fig trees, persimmon and few other things squeezed in.
After last year’s excellent crop have promptly cut down one of the figs and planted another FUYU and also bought a dwarf Ichikikijiro, still in a pot.

NE corner not really ideal to grow veggies being in the shade in the morning but have to make do with what I have.
Used leftover B/Barrels from last AP sys rebuilt for that purpose.

Small pots inside the 1/2 barrels to keep the toms and others company.
Also, when watered, exes water stays in the barrels.

Looks good. I like the dragon fruit in pots. They propagate easy. I put a few bits in AP and they are going well.

Is that wormwood under the tomato?

If it is, do you use it for anything?

Am I the only person on here that's not growing dragon fruit ?? Going to have to do something about that in the near future....

Nice patch steve, I like the lack of lawn also, lawn must be the biggest waste of water,
CD we have dragon fruit also so maybe you steal a bit,

We also have dragon fruit, but a couple of years back it started getting a disease that starts with brown (kinda scabby, but not really raised) areas on the sections and ends up making the sections rot.

Anybody else had this problem, I'll take a pic maybe. I'm hoping I might be able to get a section that doesn't end up with it and strike the new plant from that.

Lemon Meyer, Chinoto, two kumquats - Meiva and Nagami, White Shahtoot mulberry, three different Guavas,
Lemon verbena, some Goji berries, two perennial chilies and some herbs.
And in pots three Olive trees, one of them I propagated from a cutting, a fig tree I didn't have heart to throw out and two Goji berry pots

One raised bed recently planted with shallots, the other ready for radishes.

Have used every available means to prevent him digging holes where I don’t wont them.
We had also a Kelpie but at over 16 years of age had to put him down three months ago.
Now his kennel is keeping Cookie’s food out of rain and out of the blasted turtledoves reach.

Two pomegranate bushes, not fruiting yet, hidden in the corner behind that fig tree, two Fuyu persimmons,
two last year planted avocados, Bacon and Fuerte, still need to find a space for a pollinator.
And a row of Black Elderberries along part of the fenceline.

In the raised beds are some Kipfer potatoes, two beds of shallots in need of weeding, Jerusalem artichokes and Yacon (not in the pic).

Smells quite strong, hope it scares the insect away, its in a pot, in the ground not much will grow near it.

Read about it on another forum, probably sunburn if not frost, cut out to clean flesh, should dry (heal),

Got the cuttings last month from a Tropical nursery that relocated nearby recently.
Went there for a sticky beak, didn't have much yet but were going stock up after the (school) holidays, gave him a hand with some heavy stuff
and didn't go home emptyhanded.
He's from Malaysia, no website, he doesn't need, doesn't want it.

Thanks for the extra pics Steve. Must admit that what I wanted to see was the barby/smoker. It looks great but can you explain how the smoking aspect works. It looks a lot like a pizza oven.
